For side hustlers
A truck, a few free pickups, and a real weekend plan.
You do not need a storefront to start. If you have a truck, basic tools, and a place to test or store a couple units, appliance pickups can become a simple weekend side hustle.

The simple version
Take a few nearby leads, pick up appliances the homeowner wants gone, then choose the best path: resell, scrap, repair, or part out. Start with easy units and short drives. Do not turn it into chaos.
How the money works
A couple working units can produce $200-$500 extra in a week if you buy right, move fast, and price fairly. Scrap-only pickups are smaller, often $15-$30 on a refrigerator, but they can still pay when the pickup is close.
What your first month should look like
Stay inside a small radius. Reply fast. Take only pickups with photos and easy access. Track what sold, what sat, what scrapped, and what wasted your time. After a few weeks, patterns show up.
Why coaching helps
Tier 2 and Tier 3 partners can ask Hayden what to grab, what to avoid, how to price common appliances, and how to keep a side hustle from turning into a pile of dead machines.
