Refrigerator removal: plan access and pickup
A successful refrigerator pickup starts with the collector knowing what must be moved and how to reach it.
Describe the refrigerator
Include its type, approximate dimensions, condition, and location in the home. Mention a built-in installation, attached water line, unusually large unit, or commercial model. Optional photos can show the appliance and access route; avoid including unrelated personal details.
Check the route before confirming
- Are there stairs, narrow hallways, tight doors, or a basement exit?
- Does an elevator or loading area need a reservation?
- Where can the vehicle park, and how far is the carry?
- Does the collector handle indoor removal, or only accessible collection?
- Who will disconnect plumbing or remove installation hardware?
Agree on the full job
Confirm the date, arrival arrangements, preparation, and total price directly with the accepting collector. A free pickup offer may depend on condition and easy access. Do not assume that disconnection, door removal, stairs, or extra items are included.
Wait for confirmation before moving it
An APN request is not a scheduled truck visit. Keep the appliance safely stored until someone accepts the job. Arrange qualified help for disconnection and difficult moves, and keep children away from stored refrigerators.
If pickup is unavailable, check other disposal routes. For cooling-system handling, read refrigerator recycling questions.
Request pickup availability
Submitting an APN request is free. An independent partner may contact you if they can accept the appliance and location. Availability, timing, access requirements, and any charges must be agreed directly. A submitted request does not book an appointment.
Check pickup availabilityFor an existing request or a data question, contact APN. See our pickup FAQ for more details.
